Cooperative Fish
Dolphins zoomed past me so quickly this morning that I couldn't react fast enough to get their photo. Fortunately, the fishies were more cooperative.

Baby Making
Forty-four Spinner Dolphins swam past me this morning. They swung around to get a closer look at me, then continued on their way. There were several babies in the group, and some baby-making going on as well.

Back in the Water Again
Boy oh boy is it ever good to be back on Maui. And even better to be back in the ocean again.
Patty was rocking a new look with ears which helped her hear the nearly continuous serenading by whales.

Traditional Thanksgiving
We fall back on traditional activities at the holidays, like a small bonfire the evening before and morning yoga.

Fatherhood
Today, for the first time, Doug was showing some regret at our never having had a child.
Of course, the fact that Norah is a perfect little girl had a lot to do with it.

Cotton Fields Back Home
No, that isn't snow that you see, it's a cotton field stretching nearly to the horizon. It reminds me of the sunflower fields back home (only different).

Fun in Alabama
A herd of giant spiders tried to attack Doug and me while we were foraging in the forest for firewood. We fought them off and made our escape with only minor injuries.
We noticed rather strange flowers along the way as well.
Mike and Nina have been fabulous hosts so far, we will be with them through Thanksgiving.

Colorful Morning
This was one of the most vibrant rainbows I've seen in a long time.
The beach floaties were pretty colorful too.

Feels Like Flying
Maui's Mermaids (and friends) took me on a fun swim through clear water this morning.
When the ocean is this clear, swimming feels like flying. Wheeeeeee

Great Clouds
The clouds were unusually spectacular this morning even though we had no rain and bountiful sunshine.

Pacific Ocean et al
The Maui Pink Cap Swimmers joined together with the Pacific Ocean to welcome Patti and Janet back to Maui.
Conditions were great, critters were plentiful and much fun was had by all.

Soaring
The ladies were flying high on another outing at Keoneoio this morning.
In fact, I was once again struggling to keep up. Fun, though.

Lapping Nectar
This gecko must have refined taste, since it chose to lap nectar from a pink ginger this morning. Yum.

They're Back
Look who's back on Maui!
And are we ever happy to see them again.
Even a Manta Ray did a quick swim-by to say Hello.

Comfort and Discomfort
In the ocean I have no reluctance whatsoever in asking complete strangers to pose for my camera. On land I am terrified to even ask. Interesting how the mind works (or doesn't work in my case).

Too Boring
As a rule, I usually post to this blog photos which I've taken that same day.
I found today's photos of my beach walk downright boring, so here are a couple from the sunset a couple of evenings ago.

Manta and the Pink Caps
A friendly Manta Ray kept the Maui Pink Cap Swimmers well entertained this morning.
The beautiful clear water was an added bonus, and it was still warm too.

Friendly Creatures
My buddy, Bruce, came out to greet Maui's Mermaids (and friends) this morning.
We were also met by lots of turtles, fishies and a spotted eagle ray.
