As part of their 193 mile walk around the island of Maui, native Hawaiians and others were seeking spiritual support for the changes they face.
During a break at Palauea beach, I spoke with a few of the marchers, and got an earful about how much has been taken away from them by rich mainlanders. One of them implied rather strongly that I was one of those people who had stolen from them.
I quietly continued my morning walk and even managed to calm down after only a few miles.
