Who won? How did I place? Who did I beat?

When did I lose the competitive spirit? I don't know, I don't care, and I'm glad I've become so laid-back (most of the time). This morning I served as a kayak escort for the Maui Polar Bear Fin Swim, billed as the world's only sane polar bear swim.

Yes, the water was cold - well, colder than in August - at a chilly 74 degrees. Fortunately, no cases of frostbite were reported, and everyone who braved the water was a winner.
