skinny little legs?
I come from the Midwest where houses are built on solid below-ground
concrete foundations. Even in Hawaii our houses are built on
substantial cement slabs.
So my funny bone has been tickled by all these pastel McMansions which
stand on rickety looking stilts. They make sense on this Gulf barrier
island which is regularly innundated by hurricane flood waters.
That doesn't mean they don't look silly to me. Almost like a tornado
has lifted the houses off the ground and they still have yet to return
to earth.
