The first thing I saw when I opened my eyes this morning was dolphins jumping outside my window. Several pods of dolphins swam by the ship this morning, but none as close and active as the first group.
We are now docked in Trabzon, Turkey. Doug started talking with a fruit vendor who pulled up an extra stool for him to sit on. They talked about travel and Hawaii, and the vendor gave Doug a pear as he was walking away. Doug could not get over how friendly and outgoing the people are here. Me? I'm still shell shocked after my carpet salesman encounter in Istanbul (I still can't figure out how to make it fly) and am reluctant to strike up conversations with strangers.
We just finished the most outstanding meal of the trip (so far) at the Marina restaurant aboard the ship. Yum, yum, yuuuuuum. Perfect timing too, because Doug was able to make it back to the room and watch more of the men's finals at Wimbledon afterward.
Our luggage was not waiting for us when we arrived in Trabzon and our hearts sank at the prospect of buying additional dress suits. Then this evening the doorbell rang and our suitcases were delivered. All is right in the universe!

We've been with you every day waiting for that luggage to arrive on the ship! We spoke with Pauline last night and she'd love to say "hello" (Apartment 1015). Miss you guys.
